Check out the work of Roy Lichtenstein :<br /><br />http://www.lichtensteinfoundation.org/0208.htm<br /><br />Notice how he also uses the 'dots' of cheap newsprint comics in addition to the strong line art - also, notice the limitation of colour; if you were to imagine your story happening in a kind of retro comic universe, then you'd only have a limited colour palette to work with - and those kind of limits instantly lend style to a piece of work.
