Cleaning up

Wow, that took a while. I've been working for the best part of the week on animation and the final hurdle is in sight. God knows how many sheets of paper I have. I REALLY hope it all comes to together. It just takes one frame to fudge it up. On Monday I'll be scanning all my drawings in and compiling them all together. Then I just gotta finish my essay and uploaded all my stuff to the blog ready for friday. I think I'll have Sunday off and rest. Thats what Jesus would want I guess. Hard thing to believe is that after this unit, we have one more and thats the end of Year 1. That's incredible.

PS.
POWER RANGER DALEKS...

Oh god. A pink one would REALLY destroy what the Daleks are meant to be : Scary

Ture....but it would have been slightly amusing though XD

i agree - the Daleks are deeply unthreatening in their new array of colours... have a word, Moffat! :-(

And they were threatening before???

In some cases Tom. Depends if they were in Manhatten...

A debate!

The Daleks have a place in my heart - as a child of the late 70's/80's, Tom Baker and his run-ins with Davros etc. were the highlight of my post-teatime Saturday nights... and now they look like kitchen appliances designed by Alessi... more cynically, I guess what's driving the re-boot of the daleks, is, this way, children will need to collect all the colours (only the biggest completist would spend their paper-round money on buying the same dalek toy in multiples to create an army...).

Points towards Lev! :-P

And not worth me arguing about Doctor Who, I know absolutely nothing! (plus it's rubbish anyway! though I realise I'm being lined up for multiple slaps by saying that :-D )

¬¬ bad Tom. Plus it wasn't me who bought the dalek :p

Always ready for a debate eh Phil :)?
I think the Daleks should strike fear in people, especially children. They should be behind the Sofa as soon as they talk. I reckon the Daleks have become over saturated, they need to be a rare occasion when the Doctor really has to fight for his life. Plus in some episodes the Daleks seem toned down. They need to be ruthless and Kill everything they see, because they can(Like in the ep 'Dalek' and the Series 1 Finale). To the look of the new one, I don't like the bumper car bit round the middle, but I do like the eyestalk. It seems more menacing.

The Colours make them even more toned down and Toys R Us are wooping with joy.

How come the Daleks always miss when aiming at the Doctor though? Even when they did, it only hit is shoulder.

Yeah - they're a rubbish shot - but only when the screenplay demands the Doctor survives (which is every time, of course!). You're right about the over-saturation; less is more is a rule for life! So Tom has no affection for Dr Who - not surprising really, considering the state of the programme before the BBC canned it - three words - Bonnie bloody Langford - groan; the guy who runs our local DVD rental place is a wonderful uber-geek and talked at me for 15 minutes about Doctor Who lore and the rights and wrongs of the latest incarnation; bless him!

Lol. Was it moment of head nodding and smiling or heated conversation?
I think its incredible when any show builds that kind of fan army.
